Federal Board Revenue (FBR) is planning to allow duty-free mobile phone imports under the baggage rule, It was said On Monday by the Senate standing committee on information technology and Telecommunication.

Chairman FBR Shabbar Zaidi said that in the coming days the committee will put their recommendation in front of the federal cabinet, FBR also added that the baggage rule is being misused due to the governments imposed taxes instead of giving facilities to mobile phone import.
